Festival of trees!

On Saturday I got to dance at my very first real performance at the festival of trees. It was so much fun to dance for everybody, and it makes me even more excited to start competing, (fingers crossed for January!) Everything went great, and I feel so lucky that I get to dance and that I have such a great mom who supports me in dancing- not to mention that she drives me to all my performances, AND she fixed my dress! Thank you mom!

(note-im the one 3rd from the right, unfortunately I look a tiny bit bald in front in this video because my wig hasnt gotten here yet, but thanks so so SO much to Caitlin who curled my hair for me!)

Santa baby

For the past few weeks I've been asking my friends "what do you want for Christmas?", and for the past few weeks the response has always been the same! "Mmmm, not much". Lets be honest here, when I wrote my letter to Santa "not much" was most definitely not on my list, however, here are a couple of things that were...

First on the list are these awesome slippers. They look just like my dance shoes, only they're slippers!(and plus they're a little fatter). Dancing AND comfort- best shoes ever! (note- they say dancing diva and Ireland on the side!)
This is one of the more important gifts that belongs in the category "I'm probably not going to get this but ill ask anyway".Roxy snowboard. I love anything Roxy really but right now the snowboard is at the top of the list. Just look at how pretty that is!This gift, I am absolutely positive I am not going to receive A) because it costs somewhere around $500 upwards and B) technically, I'm not really allowed to wear one of these yet. But i thought id put it on just for kicks. This is a solo dress, for all of us great Irish dancers, and when I move into prizewinner, a few Christmases down the road, I will be able to get my very own...hopefully. This present too, belongs with its snowboard and solo dress brethren though my mom seems a little more keen on this one, anway, one of these would be awesome, especially for story writing and homework purposes.

I love jewelry, and I love all things vintage, this store meets both of my requirements. So on the less expensive side of the spectrum: jewelry from Dear Lizzie.( plus maybe some other stuff,- ive been good all year I promise!)

And last but not least a subscription to irish dancing magazine!!Expensive? yes. Excessive? yes. Unrealistic? well, maybe a tiny bit, but there there you go, that is my christmas wish list.

Henry

I'm back from my absolutely fantastic trip in England now, and I promise i've got a big long post for you coming soon, telling you all about it, but until then I have a story for you...
Once upon a time, not so long ago, there lived a girl, known to the general public as E. E. like many other fairytale heroines, had a true love, a beautiful black camera which she recieved for christmas. E. loved her camera and carried it with her all the time, and took pictures everywhere she went. Some people admired the black camera, and even called it beautiful, it was Emily's constant companion and one true love- until one fateful day, when she slung her bag down on the floor especially hard and -CRACK!- it broke. The devastated E. sobbed heartwrenching sobs until her heart broke, and she swore she would never love again...
Obviously this is just a fancy way of saying, I broke my camera, but the story has a happy ending! Yesterday I got a new one! This one is pretty and blue and I call it Henry. So in celebration I tested it out to see how it does while my siblings and I were decorating the Christmas tree- here are the results-

So far im pretty satisfied - now I just need to work on my photo taking skills!

lots and lots of love from E.
